About GyroHolics

GyroHolics is a forum for gyroplane people: pilots, builders, students, owners and anyone who loves autogyros.

It started in 2026 with a simple idea. Gyro flying is a small, friendly world. If you fly a gyro, you're one of only a few thousand gyro pilots worldwide, and the people in it should have one good place to swap notes: to ask about a prerotator that won't engage, share the photos from a cross-country, keep a build log, find a second-hand rotor, or just talk to people who get it.

GyroHolics is independent and run by gyro enthusiasts. It isn't connected to any manufacturer, flight school or aviation authority. Volunteer moderators help keep it friendly and on topic.

Membership is free. Create an account, then say hello in Introductions and tell us what you fly and where.

Forum rules

These keep GyroHolics a good place to be. By posting, you agree to follow them.

1. Be friendly and respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, harassment, threats or discrimination of any kind. Everyone was a beginner once.
2. Talk about safety openly. Discuss incidents and mistakes to learn, not to blame or mock. Don't speculate about named people involved in accidents.
3. Stay on topic. Post in the section that fits best. Off-topic chat belongs in Hangar Talk.
4. No spam or advertising outside Buy & Sell, unless the forum team has agreed to it. Don't post the same thing in several places.
5. Be honest in Buy & Sell. Describe items accurately, including faults, and price them fairly. Only sell things that are yours to sell. Arrange payment and delivery directly with each other.
6. Only post what you have the right to share. Your own photos and words, or other people's with their permission. See Copyright.
7. Respect privacy. Don't post anyone's personal details (address, phone number and so on) without their permission.
8. Nothing illegal, explicit or dangerous, including advice that encourages breaking aviation rules or flying unsafely.
9. One account per person. Don't pretend to be someone else.

See something that breaks the rules? Use the Report link under the post. Moderators may edit, move or remove posts and, for serious or repeated problems, suspend accounts.

Disclaimer

Flying is risky. Everything on GyroHolics is shared by members for general discussion and interest only. It is not professional flying instruction, engineering, maintenance, legal or medical advice.

• Always follow your instructor, your aircraft manufacturer's manuals and service bulletins, and the rules of your country's aviation authority. Forum posts never replace them.
• Posts are the opinions of the members who wrote them, not of GyroHolics. We can't check everything that's posted and don't guarantee that any information is accurate, complete or up to date.
• You use any information from this site at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, GyroHolics and its team are not responsible for any loss, damage or injury that results from using it.
• Buy & Sell is a place for members to find each other. We don't take part in sales, check items or sellers, or handle money, and aren't responsible for any deal between members.
• Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We aren't responsible for their content.

Privacy

We keep the information we collect to a minimum and never sell it.

What we store

• Your account: your username, email address and password. Passwords are stored securely scrambled (hashed); nobody, including us, can read them.
• What you post: threads, replies and photos. Photos are resized and any hidden location (GPS) data in them is removed automatically when you upload them.
• Messages to the admin: your name, email and message when you use Contact the admin or Report. To limit spam, we also keep a scrambled code made from your internet address. It can't be turned back into the address itself.
• Password resets: a one-time code that expires after use.
• Email settings: which threads you follow, and whether you want reply emails.

Who can see it

• Your username and your posts and photos are public. Anyone can read the forum.
• Your email address is never shown publicly. Only the forum admin can see it.
• The site is hosted by Hostinger, which stores the data on our behalf. We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a single cookie to keep you logged in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Emails

We email you when someone replies to a thread you started, replied to or follow, and when you ask us to, such as for a password reset or a reply to a message you sent. Every reply email has a link to stop them, and you can turn them all off in Settings. No newsletters or marketing unless you choose to receive them in future.

Your choices

You can edit your posts at any time. To see the information we hold about you, correct it, or close your account and remove your personal details, contact us at info@gyroholics.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Replies that others have already quoted or answered may be kept, but without your name attached.

• The GyroHolics name, logo, design and illustrations are © 2026 GyroHolics. Please don't copy them without permission.
• You keep the copyright of what you post. By posting, you give GyroHolics permission to display it on the forum, keep it as part of the discussion, and show it in search results.
• Only post photos and text that you own or have permission to share. When quoting others, keep it short and say where it came from.
• If you believe something on GyroHolics uses your work without permission, email info@gyroholics.com with a link to the post and details of your work, and we'll look into it promptly and remove it if needed.
